The only good thing about the fact that disgraced liar Brian Williams is still on the air as a ‘news’ anchor is that he works for MSNBC and virtually no one watches him.
And there’s a good reason for that: Like the other unhinged hosts on that network, where Trump Derangement Syndrome is more rampant than the Wuhan coronavirus, Williams can’t seem to be honest about his reporting.
Which, given his history of lying about being under fire in Iraq, explains why he’s there and no longer the anchor of NBC Nightly News and is relegated to a late-night spot on his current network.
On Friday’s The 11th Hour show, MSNBC host Brian Williams pushed the liberal trope that being against crime is somehow racist as he hyped an anti-Donald Trump ad that likens the President to former segregationist Alabama Democratic Governor George Wallace, using clips of both men calling for “law and order.”
The MSNBC graphic smeared, “TRUMP ECHOES SEGREGATIONIST GEORGE WALLACE.
You get the drift: Trump, ‘the racist,’ is just like Wallace, the racist. So — is MSNBC suggesting that President Trump should suffer the same fate as Wallace (who was a Democrat, by the way)? Wallace, then governor of Alabama, was nearly assassinated while running for president in May 1972, ahead of a November presidential election that would see incumbent President Richard Nixon reelected in a landslide.
Speaking of Nixon, Williams, and MSNBC, contributor Jon Meacham went on to conflate Wallace with Nixon, who was a Republican, as he complained that both candidates received more than half of the popular vote in the 1968 presidential election, as if there is a problem with the 43 percent who cast ballots for Nixon (who won).
Neither of them mentioned, however, that the Democratic nominee in that election — Hubert Humphrey — supported “law and order” while speaking out against violent crime (which is currently rising all around the country, thanks to the Left) in his acceptance speech.
The claim that Trump is channeling Wallace comes from a group of vile, #NeverTrump pretend Republicans — The Lincoln Project — which has become a favorite of Marxist media like MSNBC because they get to pretend that ‘real Republicans hate Trump too.’
Towards the end of his program, Williams said President Trump made a “decision to go deep on race” while citing another biased poll, this one from ABC News and Ipsos, claiming that most Americans don’t like the way he has handled race relations.
Without accurately describing the RINO castaways who formed the Lincoln Project, he introduced the group’s disgusting ad thusly:
An ad by the Republican group, the Lincoln Project, compared Donald Trump to former Alabama governor and veteran segregationist George Wallace back in the 1960s. Indeed, any look through the archives proves to you there are echoes, similarities between what we’re hearing now and what we heard from Wallace back then.
The fact that so many Americans actually believe Trump is an overt racist while vehemently denying that Barack Obama was the most racially divisive president in recent history (in spite of all the evidence) is mind-boggling. But facts don’t matter to those people. (Related: Racism theater: How the media, Obama and the racism industry are tearing America apart for their own selfish gain.)
The ad goes back and forth between Wallace and Trump, both calling for “law and order” and pledging to support police officers and utilize military action if need be to restore order (in 1968 riots were occurring all over the country as the civil rights movement raged).
Williams then brought in Meacham with this pathetic, racially-tinged intro: “Jon, what demographic is the President chasing here? Are we suddenly producing, by percentage, more people who feel the wrong team won in the Civil War?”
When ‘law and order’ becomes a racist thing, you know the people claiming that have lost their minds and worse, want to see our country fail.
