Biden regime Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has been caught lying about his “green” energy virtues.
Buttigieg is known for talking about the benefits of cycling to work in curbing greenhouse gas emissions, and was recently spotted doing just that – or so it seemed – on his way to work in Washington, D.C.
The problem is that an armored Suburban was also spotted dropping off a bike for Buttigieg just a few hundred yards from his destination. The former mayor of South Bend, Ind., was driven to work before hopping on a bike in the parking lot and riding it the rest of the way for the cameras.
Buttigieg apparently thought that nobody would see him pretending to be “green” after exiting the gas-guzzling SUV that drove him to the location and faking the rest of the way on a bike, helmet and all.
You can watch the video footage for yourself below:

The incident reportedly took place on April Fool’s Day, so there is a good chance that Buttigieg, should he bother to even address it, might claim it was all a joke. Buttigieg need not worry about that, though, because everyone already sees him as a joke.
“The odds of a politician putting on a show in public are very high,” tweeted the account that shared the footage. “Here, Pete Buttigieg 1) Saves no fuel, 2) Rides a short distance, (and) 3) Wears a suit while ‘exercising.'”
“My assessment is it’s a dog and pony show,” the account further added. “Snopes has ‘fact-checked- my APPRAISAL and labeled it ‘false.'”
Buttigieg’s army of Twitter bots actually has come out to address the issue, accusing those who exposed it of being mean against the homosexual – because everyone knows that playing the LGBTQ is a quick and easy get-out-of-jail-free card.
“How ‘green’ and ‘ecological’ is it to have a gas-guzzling SUV carry your bike around?” asked Citizen Free Press about Buttigieg’s obvious greenwashing. “Buttigieg, like all Democrats, is phonier than a $3 dollar bill.”

Speaking of transportation, Buttigieg is fully on board with Joe Xiden’s massive $2 trillion infrastructure plan, which upon closer analysis is actually an anti-infrastructure plan.
Much of the bill is centered around destroying what Democrats claim are “racist” highways and roads, all the while trying to invest in bike lanes that phonies like Buttigieg will never actually use except for a photo op or two.
“I’m having a lot of conversations with Republicans in the House and Senate who have been wanting to do something big on infrastructure for years,” Buttigieg proudly announced to George Stephanopoulos during a segment on “This Week.”
“We may not agree about every piece of it but this is one area where the American people absolutely want to see us get it done.”
Do Americans really know what is about to get done, though? Do they realize that much-needed expansions of infrastructure will not happen under this so-called infrastructure plan? Do they understand that the purpose of this bill is to force everyone to go “green,” meaning less access to travel and the fossil fuels needed to do it?
Everything about the Biden regime’s infrastructure plan is aimed at dismantling existing infrastructure and forcing everyone into tightly crammed “smart” cities. Americans will have an increasingly harder time moving around due to escalating fuel costs and other factors.
“No one is surprised by this behavior from any inhabitant in public office,” wrote one Citizen Free Press commenter about the Buttigieg bicycle stunt.
“Like all politicians he is a liar and a fraud,” wrote another.
