MINNEAPOLIS, MN- Remember back in April when the Minnesota Twins canceled a baseball game against the Boston Red Sox, so distraught was the team over the accidental death of 20-year-old criminal Daunte Wright who was accidentally shot by a now-former Minnesota police officer? Yeah, we do too.

Do you also remember when Democrat party political opportunists attended Wright’s funeral to show how down with the revolution they were when it came to being anti-law enforcement? We do too.
Do you know who else is dealing with trauma related to Daunte Wright? Victims of his gun violence.
Fox News reports that in May 2019, a 16-year-old named Caleb Livingston was at a Minneapolis gas station when the Democrats’ poster child of excessive police use of force pulled out a gun and shot him in the head. So, says one of Livingston’s attorneys, Mike Padden who is suing Wright’s estate.
Livingston now lives in a vegetative state, otherwise known as unresponsive wakefulness syndrome, Padden says. He is also representing a second victim suing Wright’s estate.
Just seven months later, Wright was charged with aggravated robbery after he held a young woman at gunpoint, choked her and demanded she give him hundreds of dollars.
Records show that Wright and a friend attended a party at the home of two women and slept over on the floor. The next morning, the victim’s roommate gave her rent money in the amount of $820 cash, then left.
After she left, Wright is alleged to have blocked the remaining woman in the apartment, shoved a pistol in her face and demanded money.
“Give me the f**king money,” he told her, the criminal complaint read. “I know you have it.”
At that point, it is alleged that Wright wrapped his fingers around her throat and began to “choke(d) her while trying to pull the cash out from under her bra,” she told police. She then began to scream, Wright tried choking her again, however eventually left empty-handed.
Later on, Wright once again drew the attention of law enforcement, violating the terms of his probation in the robbery case. This involved waving a black handgun near an intersection in Minneapolis before dumping it and then fleeing on foot, eluding responding police officers.
It was when Brooklyn Center, Minnesota police pulled him over in April that it was discovered he was subject to an arrest warrant, and they attempted to arrest him.
Just three weeks prior, Wright and an accomplice allegedly shot a former classmate, Joshua Hodges in the leg and stole his car, according to a second civil lawsuit.
It is alleged that the accomplice’s bullet broke the victim’s fibula, struck an artery and caused permanent damage.
Hodges was able to identify Wright because before the carjacking, Wright had exited a different vehicle without a mask on and the two made contact. Wright, apparently a genius masked up and proceeded with the carjacking anyway.
The civil complaint reads:
“[Wright] was accidentally killed by a Brooklyn Center police officer on April 11, 2021, approximately three weeks after his crimes against [Hodges]. After that accidental death, a false narrative began establishing [Wright] as a young person that young people looked up to, when in fact a warrant was in place for his violations of law on bond for a past crime. [He] had previously chosen a life of crime.”
In addition to the aforementioned crimes, Wright also had misdemeanor convictions for selling drugs and disorderly conduct.
Despite all of that, the legal team for Wright’s family, which includes slip-and-fall, ambulance chasing attorney Ben Crump calls the posthumous civil complaints filed against Wright’s estate “character assassination.”
“The audacity of this attorney is disappointing, and we implore members of the community to not be drawn in by these opportunistic efforts to tear down Daunte and hurt his family,” they said of Atty. Padden.
“Ploys like these aim to do one thing: distract. But our team will not be distracted in our fight for justice in this case and in our fight for justice for all marginalized communities.”
Hmmm…Crump talking about opportunistic? That’s a good one.
Despite Wright’s long history of violence, Democrat politicians couldn’t resist the opportunity to pander to the anti-cop crowd. Among those attending the funeral and sitting onstage included Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith, Attorney General Keith Ellison, and infamous “squad” member anti-Semite Ilhan Omar.
“We know that this tragedy is connected to deep and systemic racism in our society that black people in Minnesota and across this country face every single day,” said the feckless political opportunist Walz at the funeral.
Fox News reached out to all of the politicians named above for comment on whether they were aware of Wright’s lengthy criminal history when they attended the funeral or the details of the aggravated robbery complaint. None replied…no surprise there.
During the incident in which Wright was accidentally shot and killed, video from Officer Kim Potter’s body camera showed Wright surrounded by police, with one pulling his hands behind his back. Wright broke free and got into the vehicle, attempting to flee.
“Taser! Taser!” Potter can be heard yelling; however, she drew her handgun instead of her Taser and fired one shot, killing Wright. He was still able to drive off, however only went a short distance before he crashed. Wright passed away from his wounds while a passenger was injured.
Officials initially classified the incident as an accident, however Potter later resigned, while public pressure caused her to be charged with second-degree manslaughter. She is currently awaiting trial.
