A prominent right-wing pundit is blaming Joe Biden for the recent Hamas attack against Israel.
Breitbart News editor-in-chief Alexander Marlow says Biden’s campaign promise to return to “normal” foreign policy following four years of Donald Trump has destabilized the Middle East in particular.
The “blood bath” that occurred over the weekend “may well be his biggest foreign policy failure” to date, Marlow says of Biden, whose team was apparently “blindsided by the attacks.”
“This should shock no one, since these same people have spent most of his term wrangling with allies in Saudi Arabia and Israel while trying to appease Iran (which wants us all dead),” Marlow contends.
Marlow takes issue with the fact the U.S. Office for Palestinian Affairs under Biden has called for Israel to basically turn the other cheek and “refrain from violence and retaliatory attacks.”
Marlow is also upset that Biden “chilled the U.S.-Saudi alliance” upon taking office by allowing his base to become “obsessed with the murder of Jamal Khashoggi by the Saudis.”
“This made it impossible for Biden to engage with the Saudis at a level necessary to forge a stronger peace in the region,” Marlow argues.
As noted by Joel Pollak, Marlow’s colleague, Biden subsequently paused all arms sales to Saudi Arabia and “reopened negotiations with Iran toward a new nuclear deal over Saudi (and Israeli) objections.”

If a new Iran deal takes shape, Marlow believes that Russia will fast become a key partner, which is anomalous in light of the fact that Biden and his supporters are currently taking an anti-Russia stance with regard to Ukraine.
“The same people who told us that Vladimir Putin is the world’s greatest threat are perfectly fine pushing for a deal that elevates him on the world stage while empowering Iran,” Marlow writes. “This is incoherent and irresponsible.”
We are also told that ever since Biden took office, Iran has been able to enrich its uranium stockpiles “to near weapons-grade,” this according to a United Nations nuclear watchdog organization.
Biden himself could apparently not care less, seeing as how he recently released $6 billion in frozen funds to Iran as part of a prisoner swap deal. If Iran is funding Hamas as Marlow and others claim, then this means that Biden himself is, at least in part, responsible for the recent attack.
“Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi declared ‘victory’ after the latest terror attack in Israel,” Marlow further writes.
“While the $6 billion hasn’t arrived yet, and it is supposed to be used specifically for peaceful purposes, money is fungible and padding Iran’s bank account obviously frees them up to fund more terror.”
Biden’s other mistakes, according to Marlow, include revoking the terrorist designation of the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist group, as well as pulling all U.S. support for the Yemeni government in its fight against Houthi rebels.
As all this is happening, Biden has apparently been “icy” towards Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, refusing to meet with him or any others in Israel’s government. Biden’s people also restored funding to Palestine over Israeli objections that the money could be diverted to support Hamas.
“Joe Biden takes no responsibility for anything, ever,” wrote one Breitbart commenter about the situation.
“Except his bank account,” responded another, jokingly.
“In reality, Biden has no power,” said someone else about how “the big guy” is just a puppet on strings.
“It is actually the Democrat Party who is responsible. Leaders such as Schumer, Obama, and others make policy.”
