In President Trump’s best indirect endorsement for president yet, hundreds of former aides for prominent political RINOs (Republicans in name only) like George W. Bush, Mitt Romney and the late John McCain have thrown their support to Kamala Harris instead of their own party’s nominee.
More than 200 staffers are uniting and joining forces with former President George H.W. Bush, another RINO, to see to it that Trump is never again allowed back in the White House. These so-called Republicans would rather have Harris-Walz in the White House than Trump.
“We reunite today, joined by new George H.W. Bush alumni, to reinforce our 2020 statements and, for the first time, jointly declare that we’re voting for Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz this November,” reads a letter from the aides obtained by USA Today.
(Related: Did you know that according to Joe Biden’s aides, “the big guy” is only cognitively engaged for a couple hours each day – the rest of the time he is vacationing or napping.)
This is hardly the first time that RINO Republicans have crossed sides due to fear of Trump. Back in 2020, hundreds of aides to both Bush and McCain chose Joe Biden as their candidate of choice.
Some of the names that signed the most recent letter endorsing Kamala include:
– David Bentley, who served as the legislative staff assistant to McCain
– Tomas Bilbao, who served as deputy director of operations at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under George W. Bush
– Vicki Blanton, who served as director of scheduling for Romney’s presidential campaign in 2012.
“Of course, we have plenty of honest, ideological disagreements with Vice President Harris and Gov. Walz,” these and other aides wrote in their letter. “That’s to be expected. The alternative, however, is simply untenable.”
“At home, another four years of Donald Trump’s chaotic leadership, this time focused on advancing the dangerous goals of Project 2025, will hurt real, everyday people and weaken our sacred institutions.”
The letter continues by claiming that if Trump wins in 2024, “democratic movements” around the world “will be irreparably jeopardized” as Trump and his running mate JD Vance “kowtow to dictators like Vladimir Putin while turning their backs on our allies.”
Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) is another RINO who has hopped off the Trump train and decided to support Kamala instead. At the recent Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago, Kinzinger spoke about how he feels the Republican Party is “no longer conservative,” and that Kamala is the obvious choice.
“I’m sure Trump is keeping a list this time, and all of these folks just disqualified themselves from a cushy Washington job for the next four years,” one commenter wrote in speculation.
“Considering what Bush, Romney, and McCain offered and brought to U.S. citizens, this letter that panders to the ‘elite’ political class should definitely convince even more voters to choose Trump,” wrote another.
Another noted that all of the so-called Republicans who oppose Trump in favor of Kamala are neoconservative warmongers who have no business calling themselves true conservatives.
“This election is not about GOP vs. Democrat. It’s about DC vs. the people,” wrote another. “It’s about a centralized, globalist, elitist government vs. states’ rights, nationalist, populist government.”
“Trump has forced everyone to pick a side, and we’re finally seeing who is who in this battle for the very character of this nation,” this person added, obviously of the belief that Trump is going to save America.
